St John Bosco External Chaplaincy
Hartley Services Group was privileged to lead the complete construction of the new External Chaplaincy at St John Bosco College—a project built entirely from scratch to create a dedicated space within the school community. From initial groundwork to the final finishes, this bespoke structure was thoughtfully designed and executed to meet the unique needs of the college, serving as a serene and welcoming space for students and staff alike.
The scope of work encompassed every aspect of construction, including site clearance, foundation work, structural framing, and the installation of modern roofing and cladding systems. Internally, the chaplaincy was fitted with high-quality flooring, energy-efficient lighting, and bespoke joinery to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. We also installed full electrical and HVAC systems to ensure comfort and usability throughout the year. Careful attention was paid to the acoustic and lighting design to foster a peaceful, contemplative environment suitable for both group gatherings and quiet, individual reflection.
As this was a new build within an active school site, meticulous planning and communication with school leadership were crucial. Hartley Services Group scheduled all work to avoid disruption to the college’s daily operations, while maintaining strict health and safety standards throughout. The completed External Chaplaincy is a beautiful, purpose-built space that enhances the spiritual life of St John Bosco College. We are proud to have delivered a project that reflects our commitment to craftsmanship, collaboration, and the creation of spaces that positively impact school communities.
