Hartley Services Group was proud to undertake the refurbishment of bathroom facilities and classroom spaces at Darell Primary and Nursery School, with the aim of modernising key areas of the school to better support the wellbeing and learning of its students. The project was carefully designed to provide upgraded, functional, and visually appealing environments, tailored to the needs of young children and staff alike.
The bathroom refurbishment included the complete strip-out of outdated fixtures and finishes, followed by the installation of modern, child-friendly toilets, basins, and cubicles. New hygienic wall coverings and non-slip flooring were added to ensure a clean and safe space, while improved ventilation and water-efficient fittings enhanced both comfort and sustainability.
In parallel, selected classrooms were revitalised with new flooring, fresh decorations, and improved lighting to create a bright, engaging learning atmosphere. The works also included upgrades to the electrical systems to accommodate new teaching technologies and improve overall energy efficiency.
As the school remained operational during the project, careful planning and phased scheduling were essential. Hartley Services Group coordinated closely with the school leadership to minimise disruption, carrying out much of the work during school holidays and out-of-hours where necessary. The result is a significant improvement in both functionality and aesthetics, with refreshed facilities that meet modern standards and support a positive educational experience.
