Hampton Youth Centre

Hartley Services Group is proud to have played a key role in the sustainable transformation of the Hampton Youth Centre through the installation of a state-of-the-art Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) system. This project represents a significant step forward in the Centre’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact and aligns with the wider decarbonization initiatives taking place across the borough. By transitioning from conventional heating methods to a more energy-efficient and low-carbon solution, the Centre has positioned itself as a leader in eco-conscious community development.

The ASHP system works by extracting heat from the outside air—even in colder conditions—and efficiently distributing it to heat the facility, significantly cutting down reliance on fossil fuels and lowering carbon emissions.

The scope of work included a detailed assessment of the Centre’s existing heating infrastructure, design and integration of the ASHP system, and the necessary plumbing and electrical modifications to support the new technology. Despite the challenges of working within an active youth facility, our team coordinated closely with Centre staff to ensure minimal disruption, maintaining a safe and functional environment throughout the project. The result is not only a greener, more sustainable building but also an educational opportunity for young people to witness the benefits of innovative environmental practices in action.
