In the initial phase of this project, the antiquated heating furnaces were carefully decommissioned and replaced with cutting-edge, energy-efficient boiler systems. These new boilers were selected for their ability to drastically reduce energy consumption while harnessing sustainable energy sources whenever possible. By enhancing the heating efficiency, the project not only creates a more comfortable learning environment for the students and staff at Heathfield Primary but also substantially reduces the school’s carbon footprint. This initiative serves as a model example of how educational institutions can lead by example and actively contribute to the global effort in combatting climate change.
